After a successful launch of its ICT Training Centre on December 3rd, Huawei has graduated 21 trainees today at its headquarters in Accra, Ghana. 

The training which was run from December 3rd to December 19th, was aimed at developing Ghana’s ICT talent pool, whiles giving industry the opportunity to enhance and polish their ICT skills to meet the increasing domestic and global demand.

Speaking at the graduation, Mr. October Qin, DMD (Ghana MKT & Solutions) acknowledged the effort of partners and trainees.

According to him,  the program wouldn’t have been successfully without their dedication and support. 

He mentioned that, starting next year, Huawei will be undertaking a series of ICT training and events like the IP Gala, the HCIF training and competition to promote a greater understanding and arouse interest in ICT. 

The competition for future oriented networkers will be open to all industry players in Ghana. 

However, to ensure that the event is run continuously, a seed community will be established across technical universities and institutions to host the next generation of ICT developers in Ghana. 

The ICT training program partnership signing ceremony will be held in January,  followed by the IP Gala in March, the HCIF training and certification in April and the establishment of the IP Seed Community in August. 

The event is open to over a 100 IP engineers across 45 companies.
