Seedstars World, one of the biggest startup competitions, has announced the five startups to take part in the Seedstars Bissau pitch event.

Seedstars Bissau will take place on September 29 and judges at the event include Bruni Jawad, Director General of Investment Promotion in the Government of Guinea Bissau, Seedstars World Francophone Africa Business Development Associate Fanny Dauchez, as well as UNDP Chief Technical Adviser for Local Development Angela Abdula.

The winner of the competition will represent Guinea Bissau at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland in April 2019 and stands to win up to $1 million in equity investments.

The five selected startups are:
• Vehicle tracking and monitoring service Inovsat GW
• Agri-tech startup Bandim Online
• Ed-tech startup Get Knowledge
• Solar startup Ubuntu 2S
• Opinion polling platform Instituto Guineense De Opiniao Publica e Estatistica (IGOPE)
