AirtelTigo and mobile web browser Opera Mini, have made know their intention to offer Ghanaians free data to browse and access news on the Opera News App for free.

The offer which will be valid for three months comes with a daily 50MB data for both old and newly registered AirtelTigo customers.

The free daily data covers browsing on Opera News and Opera Mini only and does not include video streaming or downloading files from the internet.

Speaking on the new initiative, the Chief Business Officer at AirtelTigo Business, Ethel Anamoo said, “we are excited to bring this powerful browsing platform to our customers, and we are confident that this partnership will be instrumental in helping us bring more Ghanaians online.”

Adding to her statement, Jorgen Arnesen, EVP Mobile at Opera also mentioned that, their browser and news apps are important access points for people to stay on top of both local and global news and together with AirtelTigo, they will make browsing and access to information free for millions of Ghanaians.

To benefit from the package, AirtelTigo customers can download the Opera News app from Google Play Store to their mobile phones browse without charge.
