Telecommunication Company AirtelTigo says, measures are being put in place, to help integrate its mobile money platform.
This initiative which will be ready by April, 2018 will help deliver superior financial services to clients.
Ms Roshi Motman, CEO of AirtelTigo, said an agreement has been signed with Mahindra Comviva, to help the company deliver on a secure and reliable platform.
Mahindra Comviva, is a global leader in providing mobility solutions.
Speaking on the integration, she said the company would deliver superior customer experience by providing access to wider agent network.
She mentioned that, it would also reduce customer’s cost of transaction, and facilitate product innovation.
According to her, customers can also enable mobile money transaction across both Airtel money and Tigo Cash wallets.
This means that both Airtel Money and Tigo Cash customers can cash-in and cash-out with ease at each other’s seamlessly.
Ms Motman added that, customers would enjoy an expanded network and agent base as well as benefit from innovative products and services.
She said AirtelTigo is in the process of increasing its banking partners to drive improved liquidity in the market.
This in accordance, will allow customers perform banking services (bank to wallet and wallet to bank) through their AirtelTigo money accounts.
