Steve Martin, the Senior Business Development Manager, South and West Africa, BBC, took to Twitter yesterday to express his delight in the new terminal at the Kotoka International Airport.

In his tweet, he said, “Accra’s new Kotoka International Airport just gets better. You can absorb verses from the New Testament while the immigration team sorts your paperwork.”

Earlier this month, Martin also took to the social media platform to compliment the new terminal.

He said, “The new terminal at Accra airport is superb. Best experience in West Africa.”

The Kotoka International Airport Terminal three become fully operational on September 15, 2018.

Lauded as one of the ultra-modern terminals in the world, terminal three is made up of five levels spread across an area of 48,268m² and semi closed areas for the Baggage Make-up Areas of 28,260m².

Terminal three also boasts ultra-modern facilities and the capacity to handle 5 million passengers a year; capacity to process 1,250 passengers per hour; six boarding bridges; 7 links (expandable to 8 in the future); a large retail area (7000m²), CIP terminal and 707 Car parking slots and a new Road network.

The new terminal is expected to be officially commissioned by President Akufo-Addo on October 2, 2018.
