Moldiag, an e-health start-up has won this year’s  DEMO Africa Innovation Tour which was held at Casablanca.

Out of 13 start-ups that pitched in the presence of a local judging panel at the Casablanca event, Moldiag emerged the winner from the final round of pitching.

The pitching saw other start-ups like Break, Nuppio Learn, Interactive Rh and BIG4COM.

The start-up (Moldiag) will now go on to compete against the winning start-ups from the upcoming events in Cairo and Tunis for a place at the main event.

It will be held at Morocco, in October.

However, aside Casablanca, the start-up Launchpad competition is visiting a host of cities across the continent to pick start-ups for the event.

It has already named winners in Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Johannesburg.

Being impressed by Moldiag’s innovative products, Khalid Machchate of DEMO Africa, mentioned that his outfit is looking forward seeing other innovative start-ups at Tunis pitch.

“With no doubt, the innovative products we have seen in Casablanca have set the pace for all Northern African Innovation Tours to follow, and we are greatly looking forward to seeing start-ups in Tunis and Cairo pitch,” he said.

According to him applications for DEMO Africa will close on July 15.
