Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS) and HPS, a global payments solutions provider have released the Universal QR Code and Proxy Pay platforms in a step towards a cashless society.
The solution will allow customers to make instant payments for goods and services to merchants from various funding sources on any platform.
Archie Hesse, CEO of GhIPSS indicated that, his outfit is excited to go-live with this innovative QR Code solution from HPS that provides cutting-edge national electronic payments infrastructure to Ghanaians.

The initiative with HPS comes as the first of its kind in Africa.
