Government this year will be providing 3,000 digital jobs for the youth after the launch of its National Youth Authority (NYA) training program.

The launch is expected to take place at the Accra Digital Center where successful applicants will undergo the training.

The 12-weeks online training program is geared towards equipping the youth in marketing and entrepreneurship.

The program will take place across all the 10 regions in the country.

However, each region will have an average of 300 slots for youths aged between 18 and 35 years with basic appreciation of internet and social media.

A Memorandum of Understanding is also expected to be signed between ECOBank and the National Youth Authority to hire the trainees after they complete their program of study.

The President is keen to launch this program as part of his effort to create sustainable jobs which his government has pledged to do.

The CEO of NYA, Emmanuel Asigri said he is exhilarated about the president’s participation which he said demonstrates government’s commitment to prioritise youth development.

He also encouraged the youth with a flair in technology and social media to explore such opportunities.
