Deputy Minister for Communications, Vincent Sowah Odotei, during the Forbes8 launch in Accra mentioned that, the Government of Ghana is ready to work with Forbes to strengthen Ghana’s cybersecurity.

Following the issue of kidnapping in the country where kidnappers are using sophisticated technological equipment, the Minister indicated that it is high time Ghana adopts modern equipment to help fight the menace in a similar light.

According to him, technology is impacting every aspect of live and the use of digital channels like Forbes8 will position Ghanaians to take advantage of the opportunities provided.

“We stand ready to work with Forbes and other organisations to implement solutions to any emerging challenges,” he said.

The Deputy Minister further revealed that government is embarking on an ambitious infrastructure development programme for the ICT sector. 

This, he believes will provide an opportunity to accelerate inclusive growth across the region.
