The launch which brought together influential media personalities, bloggers and phone vendors was held yesterday at Tang Palace Hotel in Accra.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Simon Liu highlighted some outstanding features that comes with the Y9 2019.
According to him, the Y9 2019 has an upgraded CPU, front and rear dual cameras powered by Artificial Intelligence and a Wi-Fi bridging feature.
He also mentioned that the Huawei Y9 2019 is equipped with a 4000mAh battery which enables users to make calls for 42 hours, or watch videos for 9 hours.
According to him, the battery cells have an energy intensity of 680WH/L which retains a capacity of over 80% after 700 charging cycles (approx. 3 years), bringing customers a longer enjoyment experience with long-lasting endurance.
Commenting on the new phone, Fixon Dennis Laryea, Marketing Manager for Huawei Devices, Ghana said, the Y9 is the first smartphone that has a 6.5 FHD+ display notched screen.
He added that the Y9 2019 is also the first phone in the market that has 4 AI cameras, with high call and party mode features.
The Huawei Y9 2019, with its upgraded CPU, front and rear dual AI camera, also has a Kirin 710 chip which is integrated with TEE technology for facial recognition.
This helps in facial characteristic detection, characteristic comparison and modular management, offering a comprehensive and secure solution for facial recognition to protect confidentiality and prevent data risk.
The phone which runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system also comes in three colors; Sapphire Blue, Aurora Purple and Midnight Black.
The Y9 2019, is available for purchase at retail shops in Ghana at GHC 1,099.
