Video content has become the most useful content tool for a lot of businesses. With a variety of video content topics available, content providers never fall short of ideas for the next video.

Companies like Netflix, Multichoice, Iflix have all ventured into the video business, targeting the smart device user as their primary audience.

Ghana has also caught on this wave of video content penetration with companies like Iroko TV, DSTV, Iflix offering various video contents to consumers.

Huawei Technologies is helping to build a video ecosystem in Ghana which is looking to harmonize all video producers, distributors unto one platform to serve the final consumer with quality entertaining videos.

This platform called MTN Video Plus offers data consumers the opportunity to consume two (2) unique video contents;

Video on Demand (VOD)
The VOD services currently provides content around Comedy, Movies, Music, Education, Technology and Lifestyle.

Live TV services
The Live TV currently offers live content from GhOne TV, TV3, Zoe TV, ZTV and Royal TV.

Some contents on the platform are free and require only an active internet connection.

Other contents are premium and requires subscription to unlock.

Premium Subscriptions are in 3 tiers;
Daily subscription of 90Ghp valid for 24hours, a 3 day subscription for 2Ghc
A weekly subscription for 4.5GHc.

Subscriptions can be done via the app or via USSD/SMS code 5033.

For daily subscription, users send D1 to 5033 via SMS or dial *5033*1#
For the 3 day service, users send D3 to 5033 via SMS or dial *5033*2#
For the weekly service, users send D7 to 5033 via SMS or dial *5033*3#

The service currently runs on an App called MTN Video+ and is readily available on the Google Play store, Apple Store and the MTN Appstore.

This service is currently available to MTN subscribers only!!

Huawei is open to collaborate with partners across the video industry on this project.
