After years of advocacy in promoting and projecting made in Ghana products, the Government of Ghana has finally set the pace in the Automobile industry by granting Kantanka Automobile ten years tax holiday.

The much awaited news didn’t come in isolation, but also with free duty on materials imported for the assembling and manufacturing of the cars.

The announcement was made by the CEO of Kantanka Group of Companies, Nana Kwadjo Safo Ankofena Jnr, at the end of year party and awards ceremony held at his residence in Kwabenya on 6th January 2019.

Concerns were raised last year, by prospective buyers that the Kantanka range of vehicles are quite expensive.

The company in defense explained that import duties affect the pricing of the cars, in an interview with Radio Gold last year.

However, Ghanaians are expectant that with the current development, the cars will now be affordable.
