Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has commenced the second phase of its electronic filing platform in the country.

The e-filing platform will be used for tax filing and payments in Liberia the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) announced.

With help from USAID Income Technology for Governance and Progress Mission (RG3), this counts as the country’s first private-to-government payment mode which is accessible 24/7.

The mobile tax payment platform is operated by Orange Liberia while payment deposits are managed by the United Bank for Africa.

The primary part of the platform was launched in April this year for the submitting of annual company earnings taxes.

The e-filing platform after remodeling, will help in the submitting and cost of home tax classes together with annual enterprise earnings tax, quarterly turnover tax, items and providers tax, excise tax, property tax in addition to all withholding taxes.

Residents will be able to submit and pay for all of their taxes in comfort; reducing their price of compliance and enhancing tax administration effectivity.

The initiative is a part of efforts by the LRA and companions to remodel the income administration in Liberia by way of the utilization of efficient information and communication expertise (ICT) instruments.

The official launch of the e-filing platform is expected to occur at the celebration of this year’s Taxpayer Appreciation Day which is scheduled for July 22, 2018.
