MTN Ghana Foundation has launched the building of a 24-unit classroom block for the Ghana Police Education System in Tesano.

The education block, equipped with head teacher’s office, staff common room, modern toilet facility and furniture, will be completed in six months.

Selorm Adadevoh, Chief Executive Officer – MTN Ghana noted, at the sod cutting ceremony that the project will directly benefit over 2,493 pupils annually.

He added that, when completed, the facility will also have and ICT center.
The Foundation intends to create an integrated library, with a hardcopy book area and an ICT center.

This project is the 143rd venture of the MTN Ghana Foundation since its inception.
Mr. Adadevoh attests that more than 82 educational projects across the country have been offered by the Foundation.

David Asante-Appeatu, Inspector General of Police added that, in the near future the Ghana Police Education System will include a senior high school and police university.
