Telecommunications Network , MTN Ghana has been directed by the National Communications Authority (NCA) to compensate customers who experienced some losses for its poor network services earlier this week.

The order was issued by the NCA after several customers issued complaints that they have been experiencing call drops, wrongful deduction of airtime and data losses.

In addressing the issue, the CEO of MTN apologized for the unsatisfactory services and promised to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

However, the NCA issued a statement on December 3rd, instructing the telcom giant to resolve the issue immediately.

The communications authority also mentioned that losses made by customers should be refunded with affected customers compensated.

The NCA, also directed MTN to ensure that over 95 percent of all calls to its call centers are successful as required by its license. This was after it mentioned that the company’s Customer Care Lines were largely inaccessible between 1st December and 2nd December, 2019.
