MTN Ghana is hosting, it’s version 5.0 of the MTN Apps Challenge at Univesity for Developement Studies (UDS) in Tamale in the Norther Region of Ghana.
The Apps Challenge focuses on bringing together app developers, animators and tech enthusiasts to create products which would advance the tech scene in Ghana.
This year’s event accepts participants from senior high schools, tertiary schools, and freelancers to develop apps and solutions in the categories of mobile apps, Internet of Things (IoT), and animated videos.
It has people as young as 14 years old participating in the Challenge.
However, at UDS today some of the apps developed included; the Bus Reservation App, which allows individuals to book tickets anywhere they go, the Blooddrive App which connects blood seekers and doners.
It also has the PascoApp; an app developed to enable university students access their past questions, the Early food.com also a food delivery app among others.
Questions are still being raised as to which app will emerge the best as the event is on going!
However according to MTN, the submission of ideas are still open till, February 28.
