Earlier this week, there was a publication circulating on social media that MTN, has published the names and faces of its Qwikloan defaulters in the Dialy Graphic.
The publication which read “We Beg Pay Us”, sparked a controversy on social media as social media users started questioning the company’s professionalism.
However, MTN has indicated in a press statement that the publication is a hoax.
According to the company, it had nothing to do with the “We beg Pay Us”, publication which has been photoshopped .
The company further stated that, the Qwickloan service is provided by a third party and as such defaulters will be engaged by the third part where necessary.
MTN Qwikloan
MTN Qwikloan is a service provided on the MTN Mobile Money platform which allows customers to request for loans depending on their eligibility.
To request for a loan the customer will have to dial the *170# code after which options will pop up.
The customer will then, have to select the Savings and Loans option to proceed with the transaction.
