Leading telecommunications company  MTN, has once again launched a digital innovation platform known as the MTN Shortz in Ghana.

The platform allows customers to access and create short videos that would enable them enjoy a better experience on the network.

It is aimed at monetizing the creativity of content developers as well as giving subscribes a chance to make short video contents.

These video contents include comedy, animations, podcast, games and films.

Acting Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Mr. Noel Kojo-Ganson, mentioned that, the MTN Shortz platform will empower customers digitally.

He indicated that it will be a space where customers can access short video contents like comedy, podcast, animation, games and the likes.

The platform according to him, will help generate revenue for content developers.

“In order to boost content injection on the MTN Shortz platform and create the opportunity for content developers to monetize their creation.

“MTN is inviting content creators, animators, game developers, newspaper houses, movie producers, TV stations, radio stations, bloggers, social media experts to submit very innovative contents on MTN Shortz platform to participate in the MTN Shortz Challenge,” he said.

Mr. Kojo-Ganson further stated that, the content should be generated locally, as the platform would be used to encourage Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

According to him, the MTN Shortz challenge presents an opportunity for Africans to share their story.

He noted that the content could be on health, education or any other issue of social importance.

Applicants interested in the challenge would have to visit mtn.com.gh/shortz and provide necessary personal details for registration from August 8 till August 27.

Participants also stand a chance of winning a total cash prize of Ghc 50,000.00
