A new website to promote tourism has been launched in Ghana by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).

The online portal which will help market Ghana both domestically and internationally will also help promote its rich heritage.

Mr Akwasi Agyeman, the CEO of the Authority indicated that, it is extremely important for an organisation like the GTA to enhance its digital offerings as it would enable them reach out to the world at large.

According to him, the online portal dubbed Visitghana.com, will become the industry standard for information sharing on tourism related products and activities.

It will contain information like tourist attractions in Ghana where tourist can access diverse information with just a click.

The portal will also have information on events organized by GTA to help promote Ghana both domestically and internationally.

Some of these events include National Chocolate Day, Paragliding Festival, See Ghana, Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana and Feel Ghana Festival, and the Emancipation Day Celebration.

In addition to the website, the Ghana Tourism Authority has launched its Call Center to help provide an avenue for customer interactions, feedback and insights.

The center which serves as a catalyst to bridge the communication gap among all stakeholders is located at the Accra Tourist Information Centre (ATIC).

It has modern state of the art facilities and competent personnel to assist tourists and Ghanaians make enquires on tourism related services.

It will receive complaints from clients who patronize tourism facilities and ensure that these clients are satisfied.
