The pace of the competition picked up in today’s round of competitions at the National Science and Maths Quiz with all competing schools giving in their best.

The first round of the competition saw a great performance between Ghana National College, Swedru SHS and St. Mary’s Sem. SHS, Lolobi.

Ghana National College (Obeng-Amoako Nathan David, Nartey Elizabeth-Lynda) beat their competitors with 57 points; Swedru SHS with 43 points and St. Mary’s Sem. SHS with 28 points.

The next competition had Aburi Girls’ SHS competing against Abuakwa State College and Obuasi SHTS.

Obuasi SHTS did not fare well with points entering the negatives by the end of the second round.

Though they tried their best, it wasn’t enough and ended the competition with 14 points to Abuakwa State College’s 12 and winners Aburi Girls’ (Melvina Quartey, Eugenia Okore) 45 points.

The last competition of the day put University Practice SHS up against Bolgatanga SHS and Osei Kyeretwie SHS.

University Practice SHS dominated the competition and won with 45 points, Bolgatanga SHS with 31 points and Osei Kyeretwie SHS with 25 points.
