The NSMQ Preliminaries continued today with half of the competitiors scoring points above 30.

At UGBS, Ola SHS, Ho went against Mim SHS and Ghanata SHS, Dodowa. Ola won with 31 points, Ghanata with 29 and Mim with 10 points.

At NNB, the competing schools were Kintampo SHS, Apam SHS and Christ the King SHS. From the end of round one, Apam were in the lead with 19 points and the other competitors trailing behind with under 10 points.

Apam (Godfred Gyesi and Prince-Pat Eshun Gyesi) won with 54 points, Kintampo with 15 points and Christ the King with 14 points.

The second round of the competition began with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Girls’ SHS against Tweneboa Kodua SHS and Bolgatanga SHS at UGBS.

Though it started slowly, things picked up by the third round with Tweneboa Kodua SHS winning with 40 points, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Girls’ with 31 points and Bolgatanga SHS with 30 points.

At NNB,the competition was between Chemu SHS, Abuakwa State College and St. Charles Min. Sem. School.

The competition was fierce between Chemu and Abuakwa, the latter (Michael Kwaku Nartey and Augustine Ansah Eshun) emerging victorious with 27 points and the former losing by 1 point.

St. Charles Min. Sem. finished the competition with 21 points.

The last competition of the day on UGBS was between Awudome SHS, Koforidua Sec. Tech. and Armed Forces SHTS.

The competition was close between all three schools but Koforidua Sec. Tech. (Felix Amponsah and Boadu Amponsem Gabriel) won this with 48 points, Armed Forces SHTS and Awudome SHS with 38 and 31 points respectively.

And on NNB, Anlo Afiadenygba SHS went against St. Mary’s Boys and Accra Academy.

Anlo Afiadenygba SHS finished the competition with just 6 points, St. Mary’s Boys with 28 and Accra Academy (Raphael K. Davordzie and Nicholas Agyare) emerged winners with 44 points.
