Opera’s newly developed news app dubbed Opera News, in less than four weeks of its launch has recorded over a million downloads.
The app, which has been ranked as one of best in the country has also become the preference of many.
Jørgen Arnesen, Global Head of Marketing and Distribution at Opera said the app is already on track to become the number one news and video app in Africa.
“Over the coming year, the way people consume news and videos will change completely. We are proud to lead this transformation with Opera News,” he said.
He expressed how exhilarated they were to see more than a million downloads of the app and how they rank above other apps like Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger in Ghana.
“This milestone is a testimony to our commitment to deliver high end tech products to Africa first,” Arnesen stated.
