Rihanna insisted that, that Snapchat knew exactly what they were doing when they made the advert.

Snapchat has lost $800m in market value after posting an offensive advert game which askes users if they would rather “Slap Rihanna or Punch Chris Brown”.

The advert game which was spotted to be making fun of Rihanna and Chris Brown’s domestically violent past, was not takenly lightly by the pop star.

Fans were however, furious with the app creators for allowing something like that to be made.

Users afterwards took to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to voice their concerns about the ad-game which led Snapchat to quickly apologized over the controversy, explaining that it was an “error” after which it was taken down.

Rihanna, who later was not happy about the ad responded to the controversy, stating that a company doesn’t put time and money into creating animations like that if they didn’t intend to publish it.

In the hours that followed Rihanna’s response, Snapchat’s shares went from 17.85 to 17.20, which is a 3.64% decline.
