Social Media giant, Facebook has announced a change in its name to Meta
The company has announced in a social media post via its official Twitter page

The statement read “Meta is helping to build the metaverse, a place where we’ll play and connect in 3D. Welcome to the next chapter of social connection.”
In a short video sight by TechVoiceAfrica.com the Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg said. “To reflect who were are and what we hope to build…our company’s now Meta. Our mission remains the same, still about bringing people together. Our Apps and our Brands, there are not changing either. And we are still the company that designs technologies around people. But now we have a new North Star, to help bring the Metaverse to life”
