WhatsApp Director Mubarik Imam has announced that in the coming months, WhatsApp will be introducing group video calls on its platform.

She mentioned that it will also be having new stickers and business-focused app features.

She revealed that third parties would be allowed to develop their own collections of stickers.

According to her, the WhatsApp For Business App which was launched earlier this year, may also begin to charge large brands for additional perks that would help them reach more customers and make money.

Although much details wasn’t given about how the group video calls will work, the explanations given indicates that about four people can simultaneously participate.

She revealed that WhatsApp now has over 450 million daily users, and over 2 billion minutes of video and audio calls are made through WhatsApp each day.
