Guinea-Bissau based agri-tech startup Bandim Online beat four other startups to emerge winner of the Seedstars Bissau pitch event.

Bandim Online went up against startups Inovsat GW, Get Knowledge, Ubuntu 2S and Instituto Guineense De Opiniao Publica e Estatistica (IGOPE) at the competition held on September 29.

The startup won with its agri-tech solution that aims to lessen the losses incurred by producers by getting products to the market quicker and at the best prices.

Second and third place went to solar startup Ubuntu 2S and opinion polling platform IGOPE respectively.

Bandim Online will go in to represent Guinea-Bissau next year at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland, where they stand the chance to win up to $1 million in equity investments.
